How It Works Cold Factor cooling towels work by using hyper evaporative cooling technology to create their cooling effect. The towel acts like a sponge, absorbing 10X its weight in water when fully saturated. The addition of water and airflow is what activates the technology. After saturating in water (any temperature will work), we suggest giving the towel a few shakes to increase air exposure and kick-start the cooling.

Cooling Duration Once activated, the towel will stay cool for up to 5 hours. The total cooling duration will depend on various factors, with the most important being the amount of water in the towel. In a very dry climate, the towel will dry out faster than in a humid environment. As the towel starts to dry out and becomes stiff, simply rewet it to quickly reactivate.
